01. Identification

This Is Portugal is a mobile application operated by SENSORY FRONTAGE – LDA, with Tax ID (NIPC) 519227727 and registered office at Rua Cidade Vila Cabral, no. 28, 1st Left, 1800-131 Lisbon, Portugal (hereinafter the "Company"). We are committed to giving you control over your personal data.

02. How to Request Account & Data Deletion

You can request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. We provide two convenient methods to submit this request:

Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

  • Open the "This Is Portugal" app on your mobile device.
  • Go to the "Profile" tab or settings menu.
  • Select "Delete Account" and confirm your request.

Method 2: Email Request

Send an email request to our Data Protection Officer at geral@thisisportugal.pt. Please write "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line and send it from the email address registered with your account to verify your identity.

03. Data Retention Policy: What is Deleted vs. Kept

When your deletion request is processed, the Company handles your data in accordance with the principle of data minimization and legal compliance:

Data that is Permanently Deleted

The following personal data will be irreversibly deleted or anonymized within 30 days of your request:

  • Account and authentication credentials (e-mail, password hashes).
  • Profile information (name, profile picture, gender, etc.).
  • Personal preferences and app activity (favorites, bookmarks, route history).
  • Unused promotional codes and referral links associated with the account.

Data that must be Retained (Legal Obligation)

Under Portuguese and European law, certain information cannot be immediately deleted and must be kept for specific retention periods:

  • Billing data, transaction history, and invoices are retained for 10 (ten) years to comply with tax and accounting obligations under Portuguese tax legislation.
  • Customer support communications and logs are retained for up to 5 (five) years for legal defense purposes in case of disputes.
  • We securely store and isolate any retained data so it is never used for marketing or active profiling purposes.
